Bootcamp Urology

02.09. – 03.09.2025 – Basel, Switzerland

Bootcamp Urology is a basic urology course designed for residents in the early stages of their urology training.

The course covers essential topics relevant to beginners in a structured, standardized training program aligned with real-world clinical experience. In addition to providing fundamental urological knowledge, it includes hands-on exercises to teach basic skills such as ultrasound and cystoscopy. Furthermore, strategies for managing a urology ward and time management in daily practice are discussed and demonstrated.

The goal of the course is to help beginners consolidate their first practical experiences, acquire new knowledge, and have the opportunity to review and question what they have already learned through shared experiences. This ultimately leads to increased confidence in daily practice and improved efficiency.

The course is led by tutors from various Swiss hospitals and is aimed at first- and second-year urology residents, as well as surgery residents with an interest in urology. It takes place at the congress venue just before the SGU Annual Congress. The next course will be held on September 2-3, 2025, at the Congress Center in Basel.

You can find the registration link on the congress website: Registration for SGU Congress and Bootcamp
