URS Course – Hands-On Training Without the OR Pressure
Take your endourological skills to the next level!
Following the success of our nephrostomy course, we’re excited to offer another hands-on opportunity this year: the URS course. It’s designed to help you sharpen your technique in a focused, low-pressure environment.
After a brief theoretical introduction, you’ll rotate through five training stations, where you can practice using the flexible ureterorenoscope and access sheath on models. The emphasis is on practical experience – with enough time and space to truly focus.
Review of the URS course in June 2026
The second edition of the URS course was this time hosted at the University Hospital Zurich and was attended by 10 participants. The morning session consisted of theoretical lectures covering the instruments and equipment used in URS, the procedural workflow, and the management of potential complications. In the afternoon, participants practiced hands-on skills using simulation models and took part in an operating room station, where laser techniques were demonstrated and practiced. The course provided a comprehensive combination of theoretical knowledge and practical training.
