The Nightmare Session is an official event at the SGU Annual Congress, organized by the SRU, and in 2025, it will take place on the main stage for the first time. Participants can present either a personally experienced or a borrowed nightmare from clinical practice in a talk, followed by an engaging discussion led by two selected moderators.
The Nightmare Session has now become one of the most attended sessions at the SGU Annual Congress!
🏆 Benefits:
> The best nightmare will receive a prize worth 500 CHF.
> Counts as a scientific contribution at the SGU Annual Congress towards obtaining the specialist title in Urology.
💡 Concept:
During the session, exciting clinical cases are prepared and presented by a team of residents and their department head. The resident delivers the presentation, while the department head serves as backup during the discussion. The topics are based on everyday clinical practice and critically examine medical decision-making in diagnostics and therapy through case studies (urological conditions or surgeries).
The educational value comes from the presentation of scientific data on the topic, drawn from literature and guidelines.
We look forward to seeing you and having engaging discussions with our moderators after the presentations!
